In baptism, parents thank God for his gift of life, make a decision to start the child on the journey of faith and ask for the Church's support. Baptisms normally take place during a Sunday morning service, at our 9.30am services, so the church congregation can welcome the child into the Church and declare their intention to support and pray for the child, parents and godparents.
In the baptism service of your child you and the godparents will be asked to declare your own faith in Christ. Because of this, both parents will normally be baptised themselves and if possible confirmed into membership of the Church.
Once we have received your request form we will contact you to confirm your details and your requested date availability.
PLEASE NOTE: You will be expected to do some form of Baptism Preparation before the Ceremony and be a committed member of the Church if you live outside the Parish.
We make every effort to handle personal data in a responsible manner.
